Recently, I've been traveling in the Northern California Gold
Country. That's right--EUREKA, Baby! (no, not the city).

While many of these golden nuggets of history have gone the way of
the dodo bird, there are still some shining examples that have
either been preserved by civic-minded citizens, or left by the
wayside to crumble to time's unforgiving ravages.
Is it worth the trip to see what is left in the California Gold
Country? Absolutely! Historical aficionados and family day trippers
alike will enjoy seeing some of California's past in living color in
Northern California.
